"IIIIII" is a light installation that was presented at Beijing Design Week in 2014. Hundreds of individual plastic cords were each driven separately, creating a three-dimensional, holographic effect within the sculpture's body.
The project was a major technical and creative challenge – the entire construction and positioning leave very little room for error, as the illusion is otherwise quickly lost. The setup allows for a completely new approach to producing projection content, as well as new ways of interaction between 3D content and the audience.
